"Parents can't control what happens in the world, but we can help our children control how they respond to it."
That's according to psychologist Dr Mary O'Kane who will hold a practical talk on how to support anxious children and teens in Co Cavan.
The event will take place tomorrow night at 7pm at the Johnston Central Library.
Mary says all children worry at times, but for some children it can be a real challenge to manage their fears.
In this talk Mary will explain how anxiety impacts children's brains and bodies.
She will also offer parents practical advice on how to support their children during difficult times.
