The Taoiseach says discussions on the new National Maternity Hospital need to be brought to a conclusion.
Micheal Martin told his parliamentary party last night there are now "significant guarantees" in place to ensure clinical and operational independence.
The Health Minister will answer questions on the proposed relocation at the Oireachtas Health Committee next Wednesday.
