The 17 year old who died tragically in a workplace incident on Thursday afternoon last has been named locally.
Reece Donohoe from Upper Main Street, Kilnaleck, died following an incident at the Wilton Waste recycling facility at Kifagh, near Ballyjamesduff, on Thursday afternoon shortly after 4.30pm.
The company has expressed its deepest condolences to the family and friends of the young Kilnaleck man.
Local Fine Gael Councillor Trevor Smith described what had happened as a terrible tragedy and said the local community was in shock following the terrible news.
Reece will be reposing at his home today (Sunday) from 3pm until 7pm. House strictly private at all other times.
Removal is to take place on Tuesday to St. Patrick's Church, Kilnaleck, arriving for funeral mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Kill Cemetery. Family flowers only.
