The teenage girl who died in a road traffic collision in Mullahoran has been named locally. 17-year-old Keely McGivney died after the tractor she was travelling in hit a ditch at Middletown Cross in Loughduff at 11pm on Tuesday.
Originally from London, Ms McGivney was visiting relatives in the area at the time of the accident. Cllr Philip Brady says there is a deep sense of shock and sadness in the locality.
He described the teenager's death as "tragic" and expressed his sympathy with her family and friends in Co Cavan.
