Sonya says the woman in question was lucky to get out of the tent alive.

A Kingscourt woman who feeds hundreds of homeless people says she’s worried that someone will be killed over the anti- immigrant rhetoric that is currently being experienced.
Sonya McMahon from 'Help Our Homeless' run by her and her family offer food to the homeless in the city 365 days a year.

She feeds up on 200 people twice a week outside the GPO along with an outreach service seven days a week visiting tents in parks in the harder to reach areas across the capital.

She says of late tents are being set alight and in doing so lives are being put at risk.
Sonya says it’s very hard to comprehend that a human being would do this to anyone especially someone that is so vulnerable in society.

She says she knows of one young Monaghan woman who had her tent burned down in Dublin in recent days and says she was lucky to get out of the tent alive.
