Gardaí in Co Monaghan recently detained a number of vehicles due to driving offences. According to local Gardaí, members of the Monaghan Roads Policing Unit detained a total of three cars at a checkpoint. Two of the drivers were unaccompanied learner drivers with no display of L plates and one had no driving licence. Two of the drivers were also not wearing seatbelts. According to Gardaí, each driver will receive Fixed Payment Notices and summonses will follow for some offences.
