Over the course of the weekend just past, Gardaí seized three vehicles in Monaghan.
The local Roads Policing Unit seized one car because it was being driven by an unaccompanied learner driver. Another learner driver was detected driving unaccompanied and without insurance and their vehicle subsequently seized. In a third incident, a vehicle was seized from a motorist who was found to be driving with no insurance.
In a separate incident, a driver in the Carrickmacross District was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.
