Gardaí are currently dealing with a road traffic accident on the Emyvale Road out of Monaghan.
The fire service, an ambulance and local Gardaí are attending the incident which involved a car and a van beside Atkinson's Car Dismantlers.
A spokesperson from Monaghan Garda station said there are no serious injuries but traffic is currently being diverted.

A recovery truck is in the process of removing the vehicles causing an obstruction and Monaghan Gardaí expect the area to be cleared in around 30 minutes' time.
