Two drivers in Cavan were caught driving almost 40kph over the speed limit yesterday.
Cavan Roads Policing were conducting speed checks on the N55 between Granard and Ballinagh.
One driver was caught driving at 140kph whilst overtaking multiple cars.

The other was caught at 138kph.
The speed limit on the N55 is 100kph.
Both drivers received fixed penalty notices, and Gardaí are urging motorists to slow down and arrive alive.
