Two hospitalised following alleged Carrickmacross assault

Two men have been injured in an alleged assault that occurred in Carrickmacross earlier today.

Both men aged in their 30s were hospitalised following the incident. They were brought to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.

It’s understood both received treatment for non-life threatening injuries at the time.

In a statement issued to Northern Sound tonight, Gardaí said they attended the scene of an alleged assault at The Elms, Lough na Glack this afternoon.
