Two people have been jailed for a total of 8 months following a spate of burglaries in Monaghan.
On Monday, a man and a woman were arrested at Dublin Airport in connection with burglaries in north Monaghan on the morning of March 1st. They were later charged with possession of stolen property and making a gain/loss by deception. They pleaded guilty at a sitting of Monaghan District Court. The man was jailed for 5 months and the woman for 3 months. Yesterday detectives in Monaghan assisted by Gardaí in Navan arrested a third man in his 20s in connection with the burglaries after a search of a house at Flowerhill, Navan.
Stolen property was seized and the man remains in custody at a Garda Station in the North Western Region.
