Gardaí in Cavan are appealing for information following an incident yesterday where two men called to a house purporting to be members of Gardaí.
Yesterday morning two men called to a house in the Drumbrade area of Ballinagh off N55 Gowna road and took a sum of money.
The men requested the homeowner to check cash in their home so it would confuse the resident of the house.

A silver car acting suspiciously was seen in the area at the time and Cavan Gardaí are appealing for information
Gardaí are reminding the public that they will not coldcall to anyone's home and request cash to do conduct checks.
They say should you have concerns about the person at your door, you should not open your door even if they are purporting to be a Garda.
