Two people have been killed on the roads in separate crashes in counties Meath and Clare.
A pedestrian has died in Ashbourne, a cyclist has been killed at Tulla, while a woman was seriously injured in County Wexford.
The latest person to die on the roads is a woman in her 60s in County Meath.
The pedestrian was knocked down by a car at Dublin Road in Ashbourne at around ten past 7 last night.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body has since been removed to the mortuary at Our Lady’s Hospital Navan.
Two other people - a man driving the car and his passenger, both in their 20s have been brought to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown in Dublin, for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The road is expected to stay shut until mid-afternoon today.
While a cyclist in her 70s was killed in a crash with a tractor at Toonagh, Tulla in Clare at a quarter to one yesterday afternoon.
A post mortem examination will be carried out on the woman's body at University Hospital Limerick.
And a pedestrian in her 40s was hit by a car at Curraghgraigue, Enniscorthy at 3pm yesterday and is being treated for serious injuries.
