Conor Curley has been announced as one of the ambassadors for Seachtaine na Gaeilge 2026.
The lead guitarist with Fontaines D.C. is a Tyholland native.
He took part in a panel discussion at the media launch of the Wood Quay Venue.
The theme for this year's Seachtain na Gaeilge "A Ghaeilge, mo cheol thú".
This is a celebration of the deep and enduring connection between the Irish language and music.
At the launch Conor spoke openly about his personal connection to Irish as a learner.
The annual Seachtain na Gaeilge festival runs from 1-17 March, with Irish-language events taking place across Ireland and around the world.
