Up on 100 acres impacted by Cuilcagh gorse fire

Fire crews were back in attendance at a large scale gorse fire in the Cuilcagh area last night.

Fire crews from Dowra and Ballyconnell tackled the blaze for the second evening.

It is estimated that over 100 acres have been impacted by the fire. The fire crews are monitoring the situation closely and while rainfall is hoped for tonight to assist in suppressing the fire, alternative methods will be deployed if necessary to fully extinguish the remaining embers of fire.
