Its full steam ahead and it's all go for the Tidy towns group in Cavan ahead of the summer months.
Almost 40 volunteers took part last week in their weekly clean up each which takes place every Saturday. Locals carried out litter picking right around the county town.
According to the Secretary of Cavan Tidy Towns Paul Lynch, vapes, fast food packaging and alcohol cans is a major issue when it comes to litter in Cavan. Paul says the jury is still out on how the new return scheme for bottles and cans will help when it comes to fly tipping these recyclable items. He says its beggars belief what can be found along our approach roads into the county town,
