Planning permission has been granted for the upgrade of the Ballyconnell Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The approved plans that were submitted to Cavan County Council for alterations to the existing inlet works with several major upgrade works proposed for the Ballyconnell location.
Installation of a GRP kiosk to house electrical control panel and all ancillary site works are also included in these plans that were approved in recent days. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) was also prepared in respect of the proposed development. County planners gave Uisce Éireann the go ahead with 16 conditions attached.
