A Virginia College student has scooped the top prize in a photography competition hosted by the Cavan Monaghan Science Festival.
The science festival is running until November, 12th.
This year, students across the Northern Sound region were invited to showcase their photography skills in a "local garden birds" competition.

18-year-old Daniel Murphy took home the top prize, with Will Daly of Bailieborough Community school coming second.
Jessica Gibson, of St Bricin's College, and Alannah McElvaney, of Coláiste Oiriall, came joint third.
Mountnugent School's Ryan Gibson was the under-12s winner, while Dzhannat Podzinsha took home a special commendation for her sensitive portrayal of a dying bird.
