Warning issued over reports of cold calling in Belturbet

Gardai in Belturbet have received several calls over recent days alerting them to people going door to door selling goods.

Reports are of people going around selling generators and another selling saucepans.

A man selling the saucepans is claiming to work for a shop in Enniskillen and this does not appear to be true.

However he does seem to be selling genuine saucepans.

Gardai are advising people to always be aware that unknown callers may be causing a distraction, in order to allow another person access to your home.

If you are concerned by their presence, ask them to leave.

If you suspect anything suspicious, call 999 immediately and report it.
