After weeks of speculation surrounding the downgrading of Kilnaleck Garda Station, confirmation that the station will open two days a week has been confirmed,
Gardai informed the Kilnaleck Area Development Committee of the plans going forward. People power from the community have made sure that this vital service is retained in Kilnaleck.
Nathan Galligan from the Kilnaleck Area Development Committee paid tribute to Superintendent John Callanan for engaging with them on the issue.
The public office opening hours of Kilnaleck Garda Station for the coming fortnight are as follows: 12th of January between 11am-2pm, the14th of January 6pm - 9pm, the 21st of January 6pm - 9pm and the 22nd of January between 6pm - 9pm. Nathan Galligan says it's great to receive the news and he hopes he and the community can look forward to having a full time Garda in the station in the future.
