Wellman International says it's "deeply aware" of the impact that the restructuring will have on impacted employees, and regret the uncertainty that this will cause for them and their families.
Over 50 job losses were announced at the recycling company Wellman International in Mullagh yesterday.
There was fears that as many as 215 jobs could have been lost at the Cavan facility.
The operation went into examinership back in early June.
In a statement issued by Wellman International they said together with the examiner they continue to do everything that we can to deliver a successful examinership that preserves as much employment as possible.
Minister Niamh Smyth says her immediate thoughts are with the workers and their families in Mullagh and the surrounding communities:
The jobs losses will be voluntary and involuntary and Cllr Shane P O’Reilly has described the losses as a dark day for the people affected and their families.
