A Ukrainian woman living in Co Cavan described this week's state visit by Volodymyr Zelenskyy as "very important."
Antonia Karelina who is from Ukraine but lives in Co Cavan said she greeted Zelensky's visit with "all her of her heart."
Antonia also believes that Ireland is one of the strongest allies of Ukraine, adding that the support shown since the war broke out has been "unwavering."
When asked about the future of her native country, Antonia said that Ukrainians like herself are always hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst:
