Listen Back: Anti-social behaviour issues raised in Monaghan Town. A local councillor has highlighted the issue surrounding open drug dealing in Monaghan Town.
Cllr Alan Johnson brought a motion to the Monaghan Municipal District meeting surrounding anti-social behaviour.
The local councillor said while it's a very small number of people; it is something that needs highlighting in an effort to eradicate the problem.
Moreover, Cllr Johnson said the issues range from drinking in public; playing loud music; cat calling and in some cases open drug dealing. Indeed, the local representative is calling on people that witness any kind of anti-social behaviour.
Furthermore, the Fine Gael councillor is also the chairperson of the Monaghan local community partnership. Cllr Johnson says the likes of open drug dealing should never be accepted. He spoke to Ronan Gargan about his concerns.
