Listen Back: Blackhill Knit & Knatter hosts annual pancake fundraiser. Blackhill Knit & Knatter are hosting their Annual Pancake Tuesday Fundraiser today in Blackhill GFC from 9am to 7pm.
All proceeds raised this year will go towards Castleblayney Cancer, Castleblaney First Responders, Monaghan Sub Aqua.
The idea of the fundraiser came about 15 years ago. Indeed, when the Knit and Knatter's group decided; on behalf of a member; to do a fundraiser in aid of Castleblayney Cancer.
The first year the group raised €5,000 and 15 years on the the local group has raised approximately €70,000 for local charities.
Jodie Curran was lucky enough to get the chance to call out to Blackhill earlier today to see the hard working ladies behind the fundraiser in action.
Jodie started off by chatting with founding member, Anne McMahon; about the fundraising initiative and how it all came about.
