Cavan/Monaghan students to benefit from free schoolbooks. Over 12,900 pupils this academic year; across the Northern Sound region; are set to benefit from the Free Schoolbooks scheme.
Budget 2025 announced the initiative would also be rolled out to post-primary students. It comes as a recent Barnardos survey revealed more than half of parents are worried about the increasing costs for children heading back to school.
