Cavan woman calls for schools to prioritise 'well-being'. A Co Cavan woman has created her very own business with the vision that mindfulness will be available to all children across the country. Furthermore, that Well-being will become a standalone subject in the not too distant future.
Kelly Mc Mahon has been a primary school teacher for 15 years. Moreover, she spent the last two years studying Mindfulness, Mediation and positive psychology. Indeed, Kelly is a fully qualified to teach children, adolescents and adults.
The Red Hills based teacher said she set up her businesses 'Be Mindful Be Me' because she has learned so many valuable skills over the past two years; and is passionate to share what she has learnt.
In this fast paced world Kelly believes it's important that we all have the necessary tools to calm our minds; and regulate our emotions in order to enhance our positive well-being.
Kelly's service is available in a number of local schools already and I've been speaking with Kelly on the Wider View as to how she would like her business to grow further from this initial stage:
