Indeed, former minister, Heather Humphreys, confirmed to the Joe Finnegan Show yesterday morning that she is putting her name forward in a bid to become the next president of Ireland.
Moreover, the former Cavan-Monaghan TD confirmed on Northern Sound; that after days of speculation she will now seek a nomination from her party to run in the upcoming election.
Furthermore, this follows the shock announcement by Mairéad McGuinness last week that she would now not run for Fine Gael; due to health reasons.
