Moreover, the Castleblayney College students built on last year’s success! Taking home the Senior Group, Biological & Ecological Category; and the Intellectual Property Owners of Ireland Special Award.
Hannah and Caoimhe’s investigation focused on the development of a cellulose based UV protective sunscreen and lenses. Interestingly, these are paired with a sustainable UV awareness mobile app.
Furthermore, their project combined science, innovation, sustainability, and real world impact in a way that truly impressed the judges.
