Exciting initiative launched for musicians with Monaghan connection. Monaghan County Council are calling on musicians; both local and beyond. Indeed, any musicians with a heritage connection to Monaghan; to participate in a new initiative.
The local authority has partnered with Your Roots Are Showing (YRAS); Ireland's premier international folk, roots and traditional music organisation.
This music showcase marks a major commitment by the council to empower the county's vibrant connection to music.
Robert Burns, Chief Executive with Monaghan County Council, says this initiative is more than just funding. Moreover, it is a story of belief in local talent; cultural diplomacy; and strategic action; at a time when artists need real support.
Furthermore, he says Monaghan County Council is supplying financial support to eligible candidates through this initiative.
Recognising these realities, Monaghan County Council’s support aims to reduce financial barriers for local artists. Thus empowering them to seize the professional opportunities offered by YRAS. The partnership affirms the Council’s broader mission to enhance cultural expression and economic resilience within the creative sector.
