First Irish language 'strike' over cross-border cuts in Monaghan. The Irish language community in Co Monaghan; and throughout the country; are taking part in strike action today for the first time.
Moreover, they are calling for fair investment for the Irish language from both governments.
Groups are seeking an immediate solution and fair investment as they undertake a new campaign to highlight historic disinvestment in the language.
