Funding boost to push progress on Glangevlin Visitor Centre. Fianna Fáil Councillor John Paul Feeley has warmly welcomed the allocation of €6 million for the implementation of the Cuilcagh Masterplan. This allocation will allow the development of a visitors centre on the site of the old post office in Glangevlin. Moreover, Cllr Feeley arranged for the Council to purchase this site with a view to improving facilities for visitors to the area. Indeed, they expect numbers to increase substantially in the near future. Especially with the completion of the Visitors Centre at the Shannon Pot.
The funding will also allow for the development of access to St John's Waterfall near the Tullydermot Falls. It will also provide for conservation measures on Cuilcagh and the development of additional walking trails around Cuilcagh.
