Listen Back: It's six from six for this Clones record breaker

Listen Back: It's six from six for this Clones record breaker. Clones man Shane McLoughlin broke his sixth world record over the weekend; as he pulled a 120 tonne boat over five metres.

Furthermore, the 54-year-old Paralympian and amputee, completed the feat at Rossaveel Harbour in Connemara.  Shane pulled the Aran Island Ferries’ largest vessel, Saoirse na Farraige.

Moreover, the vessel is the largest passenger-only ferry registered in Irish waters.

Indeed, Shane also invited fellow amputee, seven-year-old Katie Walsh from Tuam, to join him in the pull; after he passed the record-making five metres

The local man joined Ronan Gargan to talk about the successful challenge.
