'Kelly deserves justice' - a mother's fight for answers. The mother of a young woman found dead in Monaghan almost 18 months ago; says she will be contacting the new Garda Commissioner in the coming weeks.
10 months ago the previous Garda Commissioner, Drew Harris ordered a review into the death of Kelly Lynch.
Julieanne Lynch says she is no further on in relation to getting the answers she needs. And has confirmed she will be contacting Justin Kelly.
The body of her 23-year-old daughter, Kelly, was found on St Patrick's Day 2024 by the banks of the Ulster Canal in Monaghan Town. Since she learned of Kelly's death, Julieanne suspected foul play. She believes there are people in the area that know what happened to Kelly on the night she was last seen alive.
A special event called 'A Day For Kelly' is taking place in Dundalk this weekend to celebrate Kelly's life and to support the ongoing fight for justice. Julieanne joined Ronan Gargan on the Wider View earlier to talk about Kelly and the families plight in seeking justice.
