Local business re-opens following power of online support. A small, family-run business, that had decided to shut its door due to rising overheads; has decided to re-open once again.
The Hidden Village Role Play Centre in Castleblayney opened 12 months ago. Offering a unique role play centre where children can explore, imagine, and learn through play.
On the 2nd of August, proprietor Aoife Watters decided make the difficult decision to close the doors. With the power of social media and support they received from the public, following the closure announcement, they have decided to reopen from today.
Aoife says herself and her team are passionate about creating affordable, safe, and memorable days out for families. Moreover, something she feels is more important than ever.
Furthermore, she knows, like many small family-focused businesses, that they are facing real challenges. Indeed, hopefully more support locally and new plans for the business; it's hoped she can keep the doors open going forward.
Rising overheads; rates; wages; electricity; combined with not reaching full capacity each week was the overarching reasons for her deciding to end this unique business. Aoife has been speaking to Ronan Gargan.
