The HSE's capital plan has set out a raft of future projects for Cavan and Monaghan facilities.
A brand new primary care centre for Ballyconnell and new adult respite centre in Monaghan Town all form part of an almost €15 million investment.

Cavan General Hospital features heavily in the plans with funding given for the detailed design of the already approved multi storey extension incorporating a New Endoscopy Unit, 18 bed ward accommodation and the relocation of the existing ED Department.
