New curator appointed to Cavan County Museum. A new curator of the Cavan County Museum has been appointed.
Ann Gerety Smyth took up the role in recent weeks.
Ann has been a tutor, an accountant auditor and she also worked for the last 13 years managing Ardagh Heritage and Creativity Centre in Longford. Her career to date has given her years of practical experience working with children and adults.

The new curator took up the role following the official launch of the the award-winning WWI Trench Experience following extensive renovation and improvement works. The trench's are the largest replica WWI trench in either the UK or Ireland.
Ann says she is very excited about the new role and she has been speaking to Ronan Gargan.
