Last week, Northern Sound reported how the landmark hotel and golf resort was sold to the McGettigan group.
A statement from selling agents, CBRE, said the new owners plan a significant refurbishment of the Nuremore. Moreover, the Nuremore has been vacant since 2023. The McGettigan family have "decades of expertise in the hospitality sector in Ireland and abroad. Indeed, they are eager to restore the Nuremore to its former glory.
The new owners have "plans to create over 100 new jobs, revitalize the surrounding area, and establish Nuremore as a premier destination. Reacting to news of the sale of the Nuremore Hotel, Emma Gollogly from the Carrick Chamber of Commerce in Carrickmacross has been speaking to Ronan Gargan.
