Reduction of speed limits on rural local roads causing confusion. The recent reduction of speed limits last month; on local roads from 80km to 60km; is confusing motorists.
That's according to local councillor, Trevor Smith who says he has been inundated with comments from local motorists over the reduction.
The changes came into effect on February 7th last for local rural roads. Cllr Smith has been telling Ronan Gargan that the confusion has been heightened by the erection of signage with five-stripe sights. Furthermore, these signs do not clearly demonstrate 60km.
