Furthermore, he said concerns have been heightened between rising accommodation costs; rising costs of groceries; rising costs of commuting and public transport; and now an increase in university fees to €3000,
Cllr Conaty says it's preventing young adults from making the most out of the college experience and from getting the best out of the best years of their lives.

The Cavan councillor said if he was going to college now, he could not afford to do so in Ireland. Cllr Conaty spoke with Ronan Gargan earlier today.
