There are 105 Electric Vehicle charging points in the Northern Sound region.
That’s according to figures released by the Minister for Transport, Darragh O’Brien last week.
The Minister was responding to a parliamentary question from local TD, Cathy Bennett.
In Co. Cavan, there was 63 public available charging points at the end of May.
Meanwhile, there was 43 points available for the public in Co. Monaghan.
Minister O’Brien said that the Department of Transport is currently finalising a ZEVI Data Strategy and associated data platforms with Transport Infrastructure Ireland.
This Strategy is being finalised following consultation and will be published shortly.
Once in place, these will enhance TII’s and the Department’s ability to monitor this infrastructure more accurately.
