That's the view from the workers and supporters gathered this afternoon at a picket in Kingscourt.
Indeed, a number of school secretaries and caretakers came from the Cavan and Meath areas; as well as parents and pupils from surrounding local schools. The main teaching unions have joined forces to call for urgent talks to end the strikes by school secretaries and caretakers.
In a joint statement issued by the TUI, INTO and ASTI say that after a week of disruption its clear schools are struggling to operate as normal. Majella Kelly, School Secretary at St Joseph's NS in Kingscourt spoke to Ronan Gargan from the picket line.
