Listen Back: Special event planned this weekend to remember Cavan. A special event to mark the 83rd anniversary of Cavan's worst disaster will take place this weekend.
An event remembers the 35 children and one adult; whose lives were claimed by the St Joseph’s Orphanage fire on February 23rd 1943.
Cavan Orphanage Memorial Committee have organised a short remembrance event at the graveside in Cullies graveyard this Sunday at 2 pm.

Moreover, everyone is welcome to come along; particularly relatives of the 36 lost in the orphanage fire. Indeed, Sean Galligan joined Ronan Gargan today to speak about the special event planned.
