A local councillor in Carrickamcross says a number of incidents that occurred in Carrickmacross in recent weeks have left people very concerned.
Cllr Colm Carthy says that we do need to see more Gardai, he said he has been told that more patrols have been conducted in the town, but more is needed.
Cllr Carthy says if someone commits a crime or acts in a threatening way, they should meet the full rigors of the law. If that person commits any crime and has come here from another country they should be deported and barred from coming back to Ireland.
