Indeed, frustration voiced by various councillors at the meeting of Cavan County Council this week. This follows the announcement that the Virginia Bypass's planning is not be expected to be submitted until Q4 2027.
Furthermore, the announcement followed a motion raised by TP O’Reilly; seeking an update on the progression of the Virginia Bypass to planning stage proposed for early 2026.
Moreover, in response the update said the bypass is now looking to go the planning stage in q4 of 2027.
Cllr Shane P O'Reilly is dismayed by the update. Both Cllr Shane P O'Reilly and Cllr TP O'Reilly joined Ronan Gargan on the programme earlier.
