Mastectomy fitter highlights there's 'life after cancer'. Alison McCabe has been a mastectomy fitter for over 20 years. She is fully trained to look after ladies following breast cancer by restoring their shape and confidence. Indeed, Alison is based in Blackrock and covers counties, Cavan and Monaghan. Moreover, Alison offers this free service, approved by the HSE, for all ladies and men who have been impacted by Breast Cancer. Last year the HSE was going to cut the allowance. Thankfully due to previous government allowances were changed right across the country and no matter what region or county someone is from, all allowances are equal whether it's on a medical card or private.
