11 additional Gardai have been alocated for Cavan and Monaghan today.
7 for Co Cavan and 3 for Monaghan and 1 for Carrickmacross. Overall nationally, 206 Gardai have been sworn in this morning.
Deputy Brendan Smith has welcomed the allocation saying through parliamentary questions in the Dáil he has been highlighting the importance of increasing Garda numbers throughout the region.

The Cavan Monaghan TD says visibility is key when it comes to Gardai and an increase in Garda numbers will build on that visibility.
