Breastcheck lost 11 months of screening time due to the worst impact of Covid.
Just under 67,000 women were invited for a free mammogram in 2020, compared to over 233,000 in 2019.
170,713 women were sent invites for screening last year, according to the Irish Independent.

The service was paused between March and the end of October in 2020, and from January to March last year.
