14 fixed penalty notices have been issued by Gardaí in the Louth/Cavan/Monaghan division for eScooter related offences so far.
On the 20th of May last year, new legislation was introduced restricting use of eScooters to those over 16.
They also must obey a speed limit of 20kph.

Nationally, there have been 461 FCN's issued for eScooter related offences since the legislation was introduced.
14 of those have been issued locally.
