The average driving test pass rate last month in the Northern Sound region stood at 59.8%.
New figures from the CSO also shows 158 people failed to show up for their driving test last year. According to the Central Statistics Office, 517 driving tests were carried out in the region last month. This is made up of 348 in Cavan and 169 in Monaghan. Cavan's pass rate last month was 54.8% whilst Monaghan's was 64.7%. Also contained in the release is the number of driving test no-shows at the Cavan and Monaghan test centres last year. 49 no-shows were recorded at the Monaghan centre last year while 109 failed to show in Cavan. 337 driving tests were also either abandoned or cancelled across both centres in 2024, the highest proportion of those in Cavan with 278.
Compared with the same month last year, pass rates in Monaghan have slightly increased whilst Cavan's has slightly decreased
