Two people have been killed in a road traffic collision in Co Monaghan. The collision happened at 6:45pm on the N54 in Legnakelly on the Clones to Smithboro road.
Three others were injured and have been transferred to hospital where the condition of two of them is being described as critical. The road is closed and Gardai remain at the scene.
Local diversions are in place and motorists are being advised to use alternative routes. Clones Youth Club has indicated on a social media post that it will remain open until 10:30pm in an effort to offer support to those who need it.
